Wraps FAQ

A wrap is an adhesive-backed vinyl covering (or large sticker) which wraps around portions of a vehicle, boat, aircraft, wall, refrigerator or just about any other smooth surface.
Acerbo’s products are made of high quality, durable materials, manufactured by 3M, Avery and Orafol, and provide a multitude of color options and adhesive purposes.

No, in fact it will protect your vehicles painted surfaces! Usually the only time a vehicle’s paint may be affected is in the case of repaint job and/or a damaged clear coat. The majority of our wraps will not affect a factory painted vehicle’s surface when removed.

We recommend that you bring your vehicle back to us to remove your wrap. Removing it yourself may remove some of your paint, and our installers are also experts at uninstalling wraps with special materials.

Yes, like any other vehicle, the wrap can easily be removed without any damage at the end of the lease.
You can expect your wrap to last 3 to 5 years or longer, providing you are mindful about caring for the wrap (NO POWER WASHING or AUTOMATIC CAR WASHES).
We offer a one-year limited warranty on our commercial vehicle wraps for material applied to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) – factory painted surfaces along with a one year limited warranty for material applied to window surfaces. We will fix and/or correct any pops and or lifts of the material from a seam, wheel-well, corner, recess or edge. NOTE: We DO NOT offer any warranties whatsoever on vehicles which have repainted or repaired in any way shape or form. Nor on any surfaces that have damaged clear coats. No exceptions!
A partial wrap covers only “parts” of the vehicle so a 1/2 wrap might include the entire rear of the vehicle and 1/2 way up the vehicle, and/or a hood logo. 3/4 Wrap might include the entire rear of a vehicle and 3/4 way up the vehicle, and perhaps a hood logo. Contact Designer Wraps for some design options and a free consultation. Typically, a Full Wrap includes the entire surface of the vehicle with or without the roof, depending on the vehicle and the client’s wishes.
Yes! Our Designer Wraps can wrap cars, trucks, boats, trailers, race cars, concept cars, cargo vans, box trucks, SUVs, walls, windows, storefronts, golf carts, vending machines, and more. They can even go on buildings … windows, interior walls, exterior walls, floors, machinery, refrigerators, vending machines, desks, computers and anything else, providing that the surface to wrap has enough adhesion for the vinyl. There is no limit when it comes to wrapping with the exception of the last FAQ on what we won’t wrap.
Sorry, but we do not wrap dirt bikes, ATVs, jet skis, or helmets. We also don’t wrap anything with crusty paint – anything heavily oxidized, or flakey and/or chipping paint.

Design FAQ

Yes, if you can send us artwork you have we can edit it to achieve the desired clarity in the final printed product. The cost depends on the complexity of the logo and whether it will be used on a full vehicle fleet or for a one-time project.

Please note, we will not copy another graphic company’s preliminary art proof as they own the rights to that design and we will not re-create copyrighted or trademarked materials. If you own the rights to a design or existing wrap, we have no problem replicating what you have.

Yes, as long as the file is of high resolution and quality. 300 DPI (dots per square inch) is our minimum desired resolution for editing and printing. The BEST option is if you have your design in vector format or one of the following, as it would make our job a lot easier and your results a lot faster. File formats (.psd .ai .tiff .psp .jpg .pdf .eps). Please note, we will not use copyrighted artwork.
The more information you can give us about what you want up front the cheaper, better, and faster our service will be! There is no limit to the amount of proofs you can get, however we do charge design work at an hourly rate in accordance with the final price of the job.
All designs are copyrighted and belong to us unless otherwise noted. Logo files are sent to you if you paid for us to create your logo.
From the time that the design is completed and approved by the client, a wrap can be printed and installed within 5-10 days. We like to keep the vehicle for at least two to three (2-3) days, depending on the vehicle type, for installation. Please note: some vehicles will require a longer installation time (color changes require a minimum of 5 business days and might take as long as 10 depending on the job specifications) – we will let you know ahead of time how long it should take for scheduling purposes.
